VAN RENTAL POLICIES

Payment Policy

 

Acceptable Types of Payment:

Credit cards are our preferred payment method. To use a debit card, you must show proof of a flight ticket in your name departing the same or next day the vehicle is scheduled to return or provide a recent utility bill or bank statement matching the address on your valid Driver’s License. We will not accept prepaid cards.

 

State and City Taxes and Fees:

The State of Colorado imposes a $2 per day Colorado Rental Car fee for any rental less than 45-days. A 3% city sales tax is also collected with every rental, regardless of the rental term length.

Cleaning Policy

 

Cleaning Fee:

There will be a cleaning fee starting at $150 for vans that are returned exceptionally dirty

 

No Smoking:

All MileMarker van rentals are non-smoking. This includes tobacco and marijuana products. Renters can expect a $400 cleaning fee if there is any evidence of smoking inside the van rental.

Daily Mileage

 

Complimentary Miles:

MileMarker Van Rentals permits 150 complimentary miles per day for our vans.

 

Extra Miles:

If you are interested in driving more than the complimentary mileage limit, you will be charged $0.25 per mile you are over.

Van Rental Pickup and Return Policy

 

Denver International Airport:

If you are flying into DIA, we will shuttle you to your van rental only a few minutes away, then the van rental is yours to take!. Guests with a campervan rental must complete a short orientation before heading out.

 

Days and Hours:

Our hours of operation are 8 am to 6 pm for all passenger van rentals. Please call us at (720) 419-1903 or email us at [email protected] if you would like to pick-up your van rental outside of our normal hours of operation.

 

Late Return Fee:

If you do not return your van rental before the scheduled drop-off date and time, you will be required to pay a late return fee of $50 for the first four hours late, and a full-day rate if the van is dropped off more than four hours late.

 

Travel Delay:

If you are experiencing a travel delay issue, please call us as soon as possible. We will do everything we can to accommodate you and your new schedule.

Cancellation Policy

 

Cancellations in Advance:

You may cancel up to 30 days in advance of your scheduled pick-up to receive a full refund. Between 15 and 29 days in advance, you will receive a 90% refund. Between 1 and 14 days in advance, you will receive a 50% refund. The cancellation must be in writing to receive a full refund.

 

Day of Cancellations:

Day of cancellations will not receive a refund and you are required to pay the full amount of the van rental.

Van Rental Insurance

 

Provide Your Own:

We encourage you to check with your current car insurance provider to see if you are already covered for rental vehicles. We will ask that you provide us with your insurance policy information before your rental departure. If you are between the ages of 21 and 24, you may be subject to additional insurance requirements.

 

Comprehensive and Collision Coverage:

Renters have the option of purchasing a full comprehensive and collision coverage which will insure the van rental in the states you will be driving. The actual coverage amount and deductible vary depending on the van rental. This coverage is only available to renters aged 25 years or older.

 

Supplemental Liability Insurance:

Supplemental Liability Insurance provides additional coverage to authorized drivers against third-party claims of bodily injury and property damage resulting from approved use of a van rental. This supplemental insurance can cover the difference between the minimum statutory liability coverage and up to $1,000,000.

*Please be aware that we may request additional information for this insurance coverage. It is likely that the insurance coverage provided by your credit card company does not cover van rentals.

Roadside Assistance

 

Roadside assistance is included in your van rental. This includes towing, flat tire assistance, and locksmith services. Drivers will receive all of the information regarding roadside assistance and who to contact during their orientation.

Furry Friends

 

Pet Approval:

Pets are allowed with prior approval. A maximum of 2 pets are allowed.

 

Pet Fee:

For an approved pet, the renter will be charged a $75 cleaning fee.

 

Unapproved Pet Fee:

If there is evidence of an unapproved animal, there will be a minimum fee of $200.
