Sunscreen

The higher in elevation, the stronger the sun gets. Don’t ruin your trip with a sunburn that you can avoid.

Aloe

If your sunscreen fails, aloe will be your best friend. Aloe Vera is antibacterial and will prevent your skin from peeling.

Sunglasses

Not only are sunglasses nice to have while you’re outside but they can decrease sun glare while you are driving.

Hat

If you are traveling in the fall, winter, or spring, it is best to bring a beanie to keep you warm. If you are traveling in the spring, summer, or fall, it is a good idea to pack a sun-blocking hat.

Rain Jacket

Spring and summer showers are a given in the west. You never know when a rainstorm will roll in and it is best to be prepared.

Swimsuit

You never know when you will come across some water when you are out adventuring. Pack a swimsuit in case you find your own secret watering hole.

Hiking Shoes

Hiking shoes are a given when going on an adventure trip. The sole will give you traction that other shoes do not offer. Along with your hiking shoes, it is recommended to pack another pair of sturdy shoes in case one pair gets wet.

Wool Socks

Wool socks are the most recommended socks for hiking. They are known for regulating temperature and will keep your feet warm in the winter and dry in the summer.

Sandals

Sandals are great to have while hanging out at the campervan or if you plan on wearing shoes in the water.

Insect Repellent

In the summer months, the mosquitos and ticks come out. Insect repellent will help you avoid those pesky bites. We recommend Picaridin. It is not as toxic and harmful as DEET.

Towels

Towels are NOT included in your campervan rental so be sure to pack your own!

Duct Tape

Duct tape fixes everything. While it is good to have on hand, we ask that you do not tape anything to, on, or in the campervan.

Entertainment

Books, games, and cards are great to bring to entertain everyone in the group. There is nothing quite like a competitive card game after a full day of hiking!

Headlamp

Headlamps are a necessity when camping. Whether you are starting a fire, going to the bathroom, or need some light in the van, it will do the job. They keep your hands free and are lighter than typical flashlights.

Speaker

Get the party started with a Bluetooth speaker. We like to say, “music is life’s seasoning”.

Tupperware

You never want to throw food away around your campground. Bring Tupperware for leftovers that can make your food stretch longer. The vans do have a refrigerator/cooler so you can keep your food fresh and reheat it the next day.

Water Bottle

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! The vans come with water jugs so you can refill your water bottle whenever you need.

Tick Key

After being outdoors, it is a good idea to do a tick check. Tick’s carry diseases that are transmittable to humans. If you find a tick, use the tick key and get it out as soon as possible.

National Parks Pass

If you plan on visiting any national park, be sure to have your pass ready to speed through gates.
